Great Napoleon Hill Poem
This poem is found in Napoen Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich.” I found it this weekend while I was traveling. I know that we are in charge of what we want out of life, but I love when I find material that reinforces my knowledge.
Read this poem a couple of times and really let the meaning resonate. It is a wonderful and inspiring piece that is more accurate than most of us will ever know. However you take it will be appropriate for your individual circumstances. Enjoy.
“I bargained with life for a penny
and life would pay no more,
however, I begged at evening
when I counted my scanty store;
For life is a just employer
he gives you what you ask
but, once you have set the wages
why, you must bear the task;
I worked for a menial’s hire
only to learn dismayed
that any wage I had asked of life,
life would have willingly paid.”
